Lavender Insurance Agency was established as a result of a life-long dream of mine to open an independent insurance agency. My journey began in 1980, after graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Go Vols! I began my insurance career with Life, Health, Annuities and supplemental insurance in Memphis, Tennessee. In 1992, I moved to Des Moines, IA, where I continued my insurance career as a Property & Casualty Agent. While working with two of the largest agencies in Des Moines, I was fortunate to acquire experience and knowledge in this field.
I moved back to East Tennessee in the spring of 2002. This is home and it was always my plan to return to this area and be near my family and friends. Upon returning to Tennessee, I was blessed with opportunities at two well established Morristown agencies. Neither of these agencies provided me with an opportunity to own an agency. In 2006, I joined another local agency and had hopes to purchase the agency when the owner retired. I continued working there, moving forward with the belief I would eventually become it's owner. That dream wasn't meant to be, so I decided I would take the leap and open Lavender Insurance Agency, on July 16, 2012. I am joined by my former colleague, Connie Palivos and Jeff Pierson.
We aspire to provide the best rates and customer service to our insured's and to build an agency which focuses on the needs of our clients. We want to earn your business and build long term relationships with you and our community.
Our plans are to grow, with more emphasis on Medicare Supplements, Commercial Insurance and competitive standard package policies. We look forward to hearing from you and having the opportunity to work with you to develop a mutually gratifying relationship. We are here for you!
